  • Junkyard Wars, Nov.29th, Thunder Valley

Is anyone going to the Junkyard Wars race on Nov. 29th? It sounds hilarious. Any car entered can be bought for $500.

Found a potential one, but Its a ticking time bomb and the rules are 500 max budget, Fair market value, thats going to be tough, and needs to make 8 passes!

Me and a buddy are thinking about it pretty seriously.
    Some cars and a bike...

Some say... they have been raced, some a lot

So let me get this right, your car is worth $500, then you add a few hundred in tires, a few hundred in roll cage, and safety gear, then they can buy your car from you for $500? Do you get your wheels, cage, and windows back?

The $500 is there just to discourage some people.

I think one of the best cars would be an early 70s thunderbird with a ton of nitrous.

we contemplated it, but being the weekend after thanksgiving, plus that we are racing in Houston two weekends before.

Spectating unless you have a car!

This sounds awesome, they'll probably spend more money on track dry than they get in entry fees.

The idea of Drag Weak was brought up this weekend on the Roadkill page.

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday if the weather holds out!

There was a 68 two door Lincoln with a 460 on the DFW mustang classifieds on Facebook that would have been perfect for this

I'd go to this, but driving 15 miles south of home sounds like a chore.

What's going on in your life that you don't have a vehicle that can make it to Oklahoma and back?

In true TVRP fashion, we are going to go bigger and hopefully better on the reschedule date to try to accommodate as many people as possible. WE ARE NOW GOING TO RUN TWO JUNKYARD WARS RACES ON BACK TO BACK WEEKENDS! Saturday, December 12th AND Sunday, December 20th. You can pick to run one or both (assuming your pile doesn't explode at the first one, lol). You do not need to to re-register. The prizes will be the same at both races.

We don't have inspections here, so most of the $500 pieces of shit are still peoples daily drivers!

I see the race was postponed, otherwise we might have stopped in on our way back from the Artesian Sunday afternoon.
