I think DJ aka: Barron Von Crowder does that race pretty regularly. I know of one other team who also goes, but they don't post on here. We're planning for the final race @ TWS in May.

I think we are taking the Miata, and Im stuck in the middle of a class c / IOE build that should be there as well.

Anyone interested in starting a new lemons team?

There's a 93 Miata that was a former lemons car, it's for sale on Craigslist for $600.

It needs a new cage, all safety equipment, etc. Cheap enough buy in, but still a huge amount of work.
If you want to race, come see me at ecr.

Yes, but that excludes safety equipment, brakes, wheels and tires. I have a well built neon for sale. Many top ten finishes and class wins. $3000.

The car is "supposed" to cost no more than $500, then add safety and other rules requirements stuff to it.

Around $600 entry fee for the car.
Around $150 entry fee for each driver. $75 fee for each pit crew member.
Add the cost of safety gear and consumables.

Because racing isn't just for rich idiots... it's for all idiots.

I've got a entry in the ECR event for End of February. Now I need to get the car cage fixed, other pass-tech things, and put the theme on the car(93 Miata).

PM me if you want to join the effort.

If you feel like making the drive to Venus, you're welcome to come check out the cage and whatnot on our miata.

In my humble opinion, hell the fuck no. If you already have a welder and all the other common metal working stuff I would buy a tubing bender and build the cage from scratch yourself. It will fit the car better and be much less of a pain in the ass than trying to get a cage from another car to fit. You can easily sell the bender once you are done with it.
