The only thing I've heard is that they were closing for the winter for track repairs, etc. (They normally race during the day during the winter as long as it's above 50 degrees)
I don't know if they're is confusion between redline and this guy on the 5.80 page or if this is for real.
it's going to become a traders village type of deal. All the racing is done
Don't worry about what you can't change.
Do the best you can with what you have.
Be honest, even if it hurts.

And...... another one bites the dust. Sad that the owner couldn't make ends meet, and it's a shame that the DFW area seems to be following in the same footsteps that the drag strips in SOCAL took. There ain't a dang track around where I live for miles and miles except for Pomona; they have all been shut down.
There's just so many around here. North star and ennis are the only nice tracks left. Kennedale is alright. Then cedar Creek and the gut are still around too. And that's just the immediate area.

Aren't there a few places that do the "street" racing stuff where they set up a drag strip in a parking lot? Seems like I have seen a few mentioned over the years. I think one I saw was at some stadium in San Diego, and another at the California Speedway..
Not that those are great options or anything, since they aren't prepped tracks.
Yeah I think they did that at Qualcomm stadium in San Diego while I was there. That doesn't take the place of a real track though. Legendary tracks like OCIR and lions drag strip that are no longer around.
