I usually run brackets, but Ennis was pretty good last year. I didn't go there for several years and I was surprised. Even though it was run 1/8 mile, they prepped 1/4 and had the 1/4 clocks on for TT's, a nice plus. And I'm a guy that never ventures away from TXR. And there were some fast bracket cars going 7.20 @ 191, not bad in the heat.

This makes me sad. I would have loved to support the track, but I do not have the ability to anymore.

Did get my best 60' ever in my Mustang there...
      Some cars and a bike...

Some say... they have been raced, some a lot

I have only been to Crandall a few times with the tmccc but I enjoyed it. The parking was nice because there was no gravel at all. no parking in the grass or anything which is nice. I have had a problem with the prep but I was alot sorry last year then I will be this year

Never had a problem at crandall. Most tracks are hit or miss on prep. Don't complain when your 9 sec eighth mile street car can't hook yet the fast guys are sticking good. Crandall was doomed from the 12 million dollar start. Tim Jordan already owns half of the highway in crandall, now he is gonna get the whole thing. I wish we had a centrally located track but Ennis will do.

Not to jack the thread, but read in the newspaper that the court date for Redline is June 28. It names three people involved and if indicted the fines alone could run anywhere from 2.5 mill to 151 mill, that might mean we would lose another track. Something about that they were illegally dumping in a creek by the track. Said that Jerry, Kelly were represented by a lawyer and Harry, track owner was going to represent himself in the case against the State of Texas, that doesn't sound good.

EPA says all the new wtuff has to be concrete, Tim Jordan owns all the wrecking yards through there now. Needs more room I suppose.

All of rumors which I've heard , but I heard from the same source in 2012 he was going to end up with it.

I think everyone should run at Cedar Creek or Prairie Hill at least once. Then they would appreciate good prep at the better known tracks. Cedar Creek is basically a concrete road after the first 300 feet. Prairie Hill really isn't that bad. They actually resurfaced the track(an old airstrip) and it's much smoother now.

However, if you can hookup at either one of those tracks, you can hook up anywhere.

Northstar in early 2013 had the best track prep hands down on any night. That manager is now at ennis beginning this year, so i am curious to see what he can do.

Interesting.... The 2nd to last EX275 race, Denton had a higher trackmeter reading than Holly Springs. Totally not impressive....

Denton was by far the superior track here in DFW for track prep in 2013...

I was at the last Ex275 race on a qualifying night. Almost every race only one car went down the track. It wasn't just me who noticed it. I guess they all have their off nights.

Are you talking about when the weather was shitty all weekend? That race? Might have had something to do with it. Just guessing.

Ah. Yeah weather really messes with track prep. Oh well. Gene did a good job in my opinion.

I'm excited they're bringing the Ultimate class to the Ex275 race there in April.
