I usually run brackets, but Ennis was pretty good last year. I didn't go there for several years and I was surprised. Even though it was run 1/8 mile, they prepped 1/4 and had the 1/4 clocks on for TT's, a nice plus. And I'm a guy that never ventures away from TXR. And there were some fast bracket cars going 7.20 @ 191, not bad in the heat.

I have only been to Crandall a few times with the tmccc but I enjoyed it. The parking was nice because there was no gravel at all. no parking in the grass or anything which is nice. I have had a problem with the prep but I was alot sorry last year then I will be this year99 Mustang Project JSTA2V

Never had a problem at crandall. Most tracks are hit or miss on prep. Don't complain when your 9 sec eighth mile street car can't hook yet the fast guys are sticking good. Crandall was doomed from the 12 million dollar start. Tim Jordan already owns half of the highway in crandall, now he is gonna get the whole thing. I wish we had a centrally located track but Ennis will do.

Not to jack the thread, but read in the newspaper that the court date for Redline is June 28. It names three people involved and if indicted the fines alone could run anywhere from 2.5 mill to 151 mill, that might mean we would lose another track. Something about that they were illegally dumping in a creek by the track. Said that Jerry, Kelly were represented by a lawyer and Harry, track owner was going to represent himself in the case against the State of Texas, that doesn't sound good.

I think everyone should run at Cedar Creek or Prairie Hill at least once. Then they would appreciate good prep at the better known tracks. Cedar Creek is basically a concrete road after the first 300 feet. Prairie Hill really isn't that bad. They actually resurfaced the track(an old airstrip) and it's much smoother now.
However, if you can hookup at either one of those tracks, you can hook up anywhere.sigpic
