Us faithful racers of Dallas would like to know so we can arrange our schedules. You had said a full schedule would be posted last week and we have seen nothing yet.. This makes us beleive maybe there is some truth to it this time

I gave up on trying to keep up what's going on with this place Over the past 2 or 3 years. I'll wait until race season to see what the schedule is. Hope for the best for them though.

Good for them and fuck that place. The only time I ever went there it appeared to be run by a small group of complete dipshits.

Never went out of all the stories I have heard about it! Whats sad is I use to live right by the place. But being in Royse City off 548, Redline is now my home track

I've never had an issue with them, way better than the Ennis track. I doubt that it will be closed long, especially with Kaufman county about to add in a service road from 148 to Bud Stoy. Will make getting to it from the south way easier.

I haven't seen the "signature" yet but all my sources say it sold yesterday to Tim Jordan. I also know if thats the case that Ken and Molly are trying to work a lease deal for 2014 since the schedule is already complete for the year.

2014 is a very important year for DFW tracks. City Governments, pending lawsuits, foreclosures are all in the works for this year on potentially shutting the tracks down. Support the tracks this season as much as you can.

What makes that track way better than Texas Motorplex?

The fact that they actually prep the track for starters.

I have never had an real issue with Ennis' track prep, although I don't know any track this is "perfect". And frankly, they run when they say they will run, and that goes along way with me. Every single time I have went to Crandall they have been closed, and they were all days that they claimed they were racing. I don't like wasting my time and money on a place that isn't going to honor their own schedule.

Just out of curious out, what kind of tires were you using?

I was using street tires, which I know are bad for track use, but an NPI GT vert shouldn't be spinning through 3rd gear off a soft launch.

When were you out at Crandall last? Guessing it's been a few years since they have been open almost every weekend for the last year.

Crandall track prepped sucked, I gave em 100 bucks one day to spray one lane and make the street tire cars stay out of it.

Ennis, best track prep vs anywhere. I can go on a TNT night and before I'll make a pass they'll drag the track in that lane.
Doing enough racing for 99% of the board!

Street tires just pull up the VHT and make less traction for the cars that are running soft compound radials and slicks. How cold was it when this 3rd gear spinning was taking place?

No, I haven't been back out there since probably 2010. Like I said, I don't like wasting my time and money so I never went back. If they have changed since then, then that is great, but I don't think I will be going out of my way to race there.

It was hot as hell outside. mid 90's. I saw two different GT500's nearly eat the wall on that same day. Yeah, I think they have gone through two owners since that, recently they have been great.

Spent much time on a track before? Those cars don't make enough power to be spinning in 3rd when driven/shifted properly unless your not disclosing your power adder.
