  • Nano Nitrous to assist ?

Anyone using one of these? What is your thoughts on it? Easy install? It would be nice to have use of the nitrous without having to heat the bottle.

You can make a good flame thrower out of it with an old bottle, and some beers.

LOL, thanks for the heads up. Did you not see any benefit that they advertise?

I know how it works. It's outlawed in most n2o class racing. I also know you can get in trouble with it, especially when there is a lack of understanding in n2o works and tunes in the first place. If you want to extract every oz of n2o and keep the head pressure up while doing it, then go nano. I prefer a pressure transducer and a heated blanket, and topping the bottles of when needed. The levels I flow on some of the cars I tune, the bottles come out after one hit, and a fresh set go in. Only time bottle pressure is an issue for me is this time of year. in the summer I got a cool rag on the bottle trying to keep the pressure down. for a little street deal like yours, you can do it if you want to. I usually tune my systems so that bottle pressure doesn't need to be 1050 psi to hit clean. I's just another bottle to maintain. Usually don't have time for the extra maintenance between rounds. switch the bottle(s) out and go.

Thanks Jet, I know you know your stuff. But yeah, I am just running a little 125 shot and it would be nice to maintain pressure without a heating blanket and pro long the use of the bottle. I have had the same bottle in it for a year now. Not sure how much I have left, but that gives you and idea on how much I use it. It's just nice to have on hand for a little fun.

Right now that would be cheaper than building the SBC 400 I have in the garage. I am small time and always will be.

Thanks for your input. It helps.

no problem. ya for what you are doing, it will work good for you. specially that you don't mess with it much. just check the bottle on the bath room scale. standard bottle is roughly 15 pounds empty and 25 pounds full. takes 5 pounds to push 5 pounds. When it gets to 5 and less of n2o volume, the volume & pressure get harder to maintain, and the tune goes rich because the bottle is not delivering n2o like it does when full and it falls off. The nano acts hydraulically as a push system to maintain steady supply & pressure. I don't have first hand experience with it, I just understand it's affect on the n2o system.

Brian and Sam have first hand experience with it, but as I understand, they no longer run a nano system.

I believe it was Brian that gave the system a thumbs up.

OrangechevyII ? I am horrible with names.

                      Thanks

I have one of the NANO systems left over from the two that were used on the Camaro. Ill sell it for $300 including the 10lb nitrous bottle and bottle Valve.
Its this system plus the bottle and NOS HiFlow valve ($218.95 from NANO) needed to use the Nano system.

It always worked flawless when I used it in the Camaro.

I will say I called Nano on a couple of simple questions an the guy I spoke to was dumber than a box of rocks. But he was able to tell me about his two years in the hospital. WTF ? All I asked was what are the diminsions to the nano bottle ?

It's a piggy back bottle, a lot smaller then the nitrous bottle diameter wise, about the same length.
Doing enough racing for 99% of the board!
