Just keep at it, little by little you will get there.

Why would 4 cylinder springs in the front make it take off
          Better?

They're much softer so it helps pick up the front of the car for weight transfer to the back tires.
Not the best obviously, but a great cheap trick

Shocks control the rebound more than the springs. I would think it would hurt it since the ride height will be lower in the front with them. Makes it harder to put the weight on the tires on launch.

My car sits with a rake now with the drop springs. I think it's an issue.

Try a different set of springs and buy some drag shocks for it.

The 4cyl springs will give you some drop and weight transfer better than what you have for the money. GT springs in the back. They are a different rate than the LX ones. Listen to me and the guys that have actually tried it and it works. if you're going to do K member and Coilovers soon then it's not a big deal. The strange struts do wonders also.

Coil springs are cheap. Don't put junky wore out 4 cylinder springs on the front of that car.

The bastard has a K sitting on at his house. All he needs are the coilovers and A-arms.

                        Get them you cheap turd!

I still don't see how installing a softer spring is going to help.

Back in the day circa 97-99 my gt had eibach front springs with stock rear springs. Stock rear control arms and 90/10 front struts and I was cutting 1.5 60s with 3.55 gears and cast iron heads.

If I were doing it today id go buy some strange front struts and do some testing before raising the front or doing any kind of spring change based on your set up of course.

I recondition headlights on most cars for $50.00. If interested shoot me a pm.

A softer spring can help. Especially if running coil overs. If you want x ride height then a 225lb spring will have less compression on the spring than say a 175lb spring. You can achieve your ride height x with more stored energy/height with a softer spring. When launching it will want to push up farther giving better weight transfer.

Oh I'm aware of that but you can't adjust 4 cylinder springs.
