  • New AFCO Struts

I'm looking forward to getting these!! I should be pre ordering a set from Mark Menscar this week. Hopefully with these and the Big Guns out back traction will be a close friend.

AFCO Racing Products is garnering a lot of attention this weekend at No Mercy IV in South Georgia after unveiling their new prototype struts for '79-04, Fox Body and SN95 Mustangs.

I read somewhere that a set of these were on Brad Edwards car at No Mercy IV and were in perfect condition after the giant wheel stand. I'm in, I don't see ever having to buy another set.

I'm looking forward to checking them out in person as they are going on my car. If this thing doesn't hook in Mexico I'm gonna be pissed after all of the $$$ spent on suspension.

Don't get it twisted. You may not have to actually replace the shock but you'll periodically have to rebuild them. Double adjustable shocks for sprints run in the 100-125 range to rebuild so I'd imagine that you'll be around there in cost. About once a year or once a season is a fair estimate on how long you should go between rebuilds. The best thing to do is to invest on a shock dyno, but that's probably passing into the realm of stuff you're not worried about.

Do you have any experience setting them up? Damaged and out of adjustment are two separate things.

I knew that they'd need to be rebuilt occassionally. I'm not going to be racing the car in to many class races so I'll have them dyno'd/rebuilt if neccassary during the winter months.
