Saturday during the day ought to be ok to bring the family out right?? I've never felt like I was in a bad spot out there, but I like to race during the day. If everything's cool, and the weather holds up, I might try to make it out Saturday.

I know it'll be faster then, but I like to bring my little boy and wife with me and that usually means daytime racing.

Edit: Sounds like we're going to head out there early Saturday when they open (Noon) and get a few passes in. I know it's gonna be hot, but it'll be some good data for how things look after the KB install. I'm going to pessimistically guess an 11.2@122 with my fingers crossed that it goes a 10.X. It should eventually, but not sure how much the heat's going to hurt me.

I lost, treed him bad. Out 60ftd by a half a tenth and he passed me about 500 ft out. Beat me by half a truck.

I'm having transmission issues. I only went 122, if I could have at least ran my normal mph I would have had him. You can see in the video Jay Shaffer posted on YouTube, it starts bellowing smoke out when it goes to high gear. Still a good race with a cool group of guys.

Hmm... High gear not fully grabbing? You don't think its converter related?

I had the converter cut opened and checked, it was perfect. It didn't slow down till I put this trans in. It's a nice transmission. It's all aftermarket except the case, 1.80 straight cuts ect with Kevlar clutches. You don't think it would slow down mph wise do you because of the straight cuts? I cut my best 60ft with this trans, it was only the 3 full bottle pass.
