you blame one of the most friendly/economic high hp street car platforms (turbo LS) for a low turnout?

There are plenty of them out there that are starting up and wanting to learn. I had a small group (non DFWM members) that were interested. I started a thread in the GTG forum but got zero responses.

The bottom line is: unless you are in a car that has plenty of power and is setup for it, 1/8th mile drag racing is pretty damned boring. 1/4 is a bit faster and longer, but still the same wait-longer-than-drive event.

Ennis is a drive for almost everyone, but we could do a autocross in the back paddock and drags on the strip there. The fast 1/8th mile guys will piss an moan because they cant run the 1/4, but the guys with the new mustangs and some with street cars can play on both, and the turnout could double or more.

          But we go to k-dale.

I think part of the problem is that we started having too many per year, and like mentioned above less racers and no new racers really.

My Mustang is down right now for a rebuild, but I had still planned on attending the spring cruise and taking pictures and filming, but my Niece's graduation luncheon was the same day from 11-2 so I couldn't make it.

I hope Brooks doesn't throw in the towel on this event, I think the Fall cruise will be better. Also, now that we are back down to two per year, I think that will help attendance also.

really? the first 2 years we had 4 events they were all full, people are changing, that's all there is too it. new blood is out there but not welcome on dfwstangs unless they post their gf's tits... its just the way it is.

I'd agree with this. When new folks come around they are scared off. Just my opinion, but take it with a grain of salt, as my only vehicle right now is a beater.
