I can't imagine going to a NHRA national event facility and running 1/8mi. I do understand it's harder on parts, car may be geared wrong, short wheelbase, dangerous at speed, etc. But still...
I'd be down with it. If Brooks isn't setting up the cruises anymore, who is he passing the torch to? I wish he would, as it would be some good visibility for his new shop. When the government pays, the government controls.

Sorry guys, it's been REAL busy lately.
I'm still waiting on dates from our standard venue. Eric from Texas Motorplex has contacted me and I simply haven't returned his pm's (Sorry Eric ). Mainly, I am trying to hold out and give TXR our business, followed by Denton and last but certainly not least, the motorplex. I think the years past of 3 or 4 per year are just too many. Back about 5 years ago, when we did 2, it was bangin!
There's only a few of us who can make tech at Ennis, and that's not really my concern. The concern is distance and how many of us can or will make the drive. I hate to book a date and only 40 of us show up. We've been doing this cruise for 10 years now and I've found there's a few MAJOR things that keep our people from going. For the records, or typical attendance is something like 80 cars and 300-400 spectators and we've gone as high as 120ish cars and 600ish spectators.
The day of the cruise (Saturday or sunday)
Time of day
Distance to/from track
1/4 or 1/8
Rules
price
