It's an '89 w/a th400 trans, 3.73 gear with a Neal Chance converter. Vic Jr intake with a 950 HP carburetor. It's one of Dallas performance blower cams. Something like a 118 lobe separation. It's a 08 Ls3 with west coast cylinder heads. Stock castings, their cnc program. Stock rotating assembly.
Doing enough racing for 99% of the board!

Swapped the cam, found another 25 rwhp and almost 20 rwt. Went to Crandall yesterday and made one pass before the rain hit. Smoked the tires to a 1.49 short time and still ran 109 in the 1/8. I'm thinking maybe some mid .80's on a good surface.

Nice man, you sir make me want an S10 and a LS motor. I have three of them in my core return pile here at work. Hmmm. I do have a Nissan D21 that would make a killler swap.

.80's on the bottle or do you think it's going to drop half a second from 25rw? (not trying to be a dick but i'm sure it'll be taken that way)

I'm about 99% sure he's talking about a 9.8 in the quarter, not a 5.8 in the eighth.

              Ah, that'd make more sense.

Stock shortblock Ls3 on pump gas, all motor! Bottle is coming soon.
I'm still in a debate with myself whether I should switch to this tire. I have heard and read so many good things, but then you hear crap like..."it wont work unless you have a well prepped track" and of course I know the suspension needs to be right.

Were you running a slick prior, or were you just running the old D/R?

Just looking for some sort of comparison.

I had a smaller 255/60 DR, just went with a little taller tire. My 60fts are with in .005 of the smaller tire, MpH is up and ET went down.

These times are on a TNT day, maybe better ETs on a good night

I've ran both the 275 radial and a 28" et drag and I love the slick. If you have the time and money to get the suspension really working and are going to be on well prepped tracks the radial can get it done for sure, but if you want to lay down some bad ass 60's on a shitty track go with the slick IMO

I am currently running a 28 x10 slick. But like anyone, just looking to go a bit quicker. So...since I do a lot of Index and brackets, would I be wasting my money on a D/R?

My car has gone a best of 6.30 @ 106mph

                            New Best pump gas Ls3

                            Short time 1.35
                            330...3.98
                            1/8... 6.23@108
                            1/4...9.92@130

The 30 mph head wind killed any chances I has to run any kind of fast et or mph. I see some 6.teens on motor and some .70's in the 1/4 pretty easy. The track was working great, both lanes.
