Everyone from HPP was out because we had our turbo race car and several customer cars coming out. I'll start with the quickest.
Mike Kelly's car was out to make a point! We had the car all week cutting the old antiroll bar out, we built a custom one with Wolfe supplied parts. We also fixed a couple other things we found. We knew with what we fixed it was going to be good.
First pass 4.92 with a 1.26 60', just making sure everything was working good. We then threw some more power at it and it went 4.82@149 with a 1.17 60'. So we threw some more power at it and it did a 330' big wheelie and getting bigger so pass was aborted to a 5.0@12X with a 1.17 60' on the back of course. So we made some adjustments and came back. She then layed down a 4.79@149 with a 1.16 on the back. We need to make some adjustments to the front now and the car will soon be in the .6X. I'd say what we did to the rear worked!
Our shop car was out for the 3rd time in a long time. It ran a few 5.1X@142 last week. So for the first pass I was in search of my 4 second slip. I added a ton of power, it came out on a little wheelie that slowly got bigger even as I eased out of the throttle. I was peddling for a while and it seemed like it just went higher, but I was able to get a semi smooth landing. A slight bump of the pan, the track was good, I had oil pressure, I figured we would give it a shot. I have the same issue we need to correct on Mike's car on mine. I am out of adjustment. So my only other resort was to kill some power out of the hole. I then ran a 5.07@144 then a 5.05 and another 5.05 all with low 1.2X 60's. Next week I plan on being able to give it more and go in the 4.9's. Either way I was happy!
Next is a Customer from OK. with a C5 corvette. We rescently finished up some work on it and wanted to get it dialed in at the track. It has a Procharger D-1 on corn and a lil spray for good measure. Full weight with 4l65 auto custom fuel system. It went 6.21@114 on blower alone then when the nitrous was turned on it went a 5.88@121.9. Customer was very happy! it was his first time in the 5's and he backed it up with another 5 second run.
Earl was out with his 95 Mustang Convertible full weight "street car" with a Kenne Bell & a lil spray. He went some high 5's but unfortunately had some breakage.
Brandon took his turbo 5.0 fox. Full weight with stereo system, ac, etc...Ran a few 6.7@104 in full street trim. Good ole stock block taking 575+rwtq.
Then Brian Green reported he was running 5.1X's@144 with his mod motor fox we set up for him. He was testing in Arkansas I think.
Big thanks to North Star who even stayed open a little extra to let us make one more pass. Just an average Friday night no big race and the track was great!
