Put a 1 gallon zip lock over the filter right after brealing it loose. Take it off with the bag on, no issue! I'm getting 22mpg max on the highway with an AUTO, 3.73's, full bolt on, exhaust with no cats. Spirited driving around town, 18-20. Driving like a granny around town, 25-26. I love the 3.73's around town.

I drain my oil first, once it gets empty, I take a few rags and place them over the Elec. PS plugs and remove the filter, it makes almost no mess. It never takes more than 30 minutes start to finish and thats taking my time.
