Dodge challenger 6speed + mods vs 91coupemike

Guy rolls up gets 1 and a half cars in front of me and drops a gear and punches it going about 45. I drop it into second a pursue..

I get up to his bumper and acually pull in to about a half car in 4th, then I ran out of gear.

Was a good close race.

He has intake, tune, longtubes x pipe and full exhaust an ran a 12.9 on street tires. (what he says)

My car isn't a 12 second car, atleast I don't think.. And I stayed right there with him up until about 110-115.

We ran from a dig, and he can't launch for shit so I got about 5 cars out and slowed down while he did the river fly by.

He had came into the store and told me about his car, I know it's a 6speed car but not sure if 6.1 or 5.7, def not a 6.4.

For the power they make, they sure are slow to be close race with my car and have about 150+hp on me.

Im hoping a few more show Friday night at Crandall, kind of curious how I stack up against a Challenger and a SS. I think they just started making the big motor with a 6sp recently, I thought all the older 6.1's were auto only cars.

It may have been a 5.7, it was all black with black wheels, had a chin spoiler ect.. Not sure if r/t or sr/t. Next time I see him, I'll have to ask.

I see them run at northstar all the time, the camaros run pretty good. The new mustang stock to stock will take either one of them out pretty easy.

Steve, I don't go following you around. So what gives man? I'm using this forum as it was intended and posting about acually racing. Is it exciting? No not really it's a battle of the snails at this point. In case you can comprehend the demeanor of my post, it's to show how the challenger with full bolt ons stacks up to a old wore out mustang with someone who knows how to drive the panties off of it.

Get with it steve, and chill out.

It sounds good, but it isn't fast at all. Lol

He had a 1-2 car advantage and the jump on me and I was about a half car off his bumper until 6k in 4th gear and I let out. So a clean even start I wouldve been about a car in front of him. He was ricer racing for sure. Lol

I saw one this weekend with the Viper style wheels on it, slammed, solid red with the (I don't even know how to describe the hood scoop) it was similiar to this one......very old school. It looked bad ass.

Sounds like a 5.7. 345 hp at the engine I think (stock) and 4300 lbs. If you had problems beating him it would be a shocker. They're GREAT cruisers tho and look killer. They should all have the 6.4 IMO

He said it ran a 12.9 in the 1/4 mile, that seems quick for a 5.7.

Then again, he could be lying.

Those new challengers look pretty sweet with the cuda kit on them. Saw a red one and looked way better than a charger would anyday!
