    There is a 6 cylinder red drag car out here tonight. Anyone have some info on this thing. Sounds more like a motorcycle

    It's a D/ED competition eliminator dragster.

      Can you tell me more about the motor? The thing was pretty impressive.

        I'm assuming it was Charlie Stewarts car. That's the only local car I know of like that. It should have an inline 4.2 GM 6 cylinder motor out a trailblazer in it. Comp eliminator is a very complicated class in NHRA. They (NHRA) give you performance standards based on weight per cubic inch factors and then it's up to you to make it run the quickest you can.

        So this dragster might race up against another car or dragster with an 800 cubic motor with a handicapped head start.

              i saw it the guy on the pa said it turns about 10,500 rpm inline staright six. kinda sounds like a sport bike motor! cool but id rather have the cubic inch
