  • Ran the 95 Cobra at Kennedale Tonight

With my Summitomo street ties out back.

    60'.......2.106
    330'.....5.408
    Mph.....65.8
    1/8......8.257
    Mph.....87.21

I think it could have some 7's in it with drag radials. It's NA and my daily driver. Think I'm gonna get some 305/35/18 Nitto drag radials and shoot for 7.8's. Car weighs 3550 with me in it, and tonight I also had a floor jack and cooler in the trunk so probably close to 3600lbs.

That's pretty good on regular street tires, what's the combo?

Oh, and you should knock .5-.6 off the 60' with good tires

I figure about 400-425hp. I have to roll up to 4500 rpm at half throttle and slipping the clutch in first, then completely let off hitting 2nd before matting it. I think 88mph could maybe possibly be in the cards with some DR's. I saw a guy with some 15x8" welds and Mickey T DR's but I don't want 15's. Next set of rear tires I'm going 18x10" Cobra R wheels. I will most likely buy some DR's for those and give it a whirl. My back tires are 315's and new but I drive it 1500-2500 miles a month, so it shouldn't take long.

            Lol

Runs good man. Hopefully mine will run good when it's done.

It will just have headers and a tune.

The new A5 trans holds up well and shifts smooth. Now I drive like Steve McQueen. Mike what's the new combo gonna be?

What's the specs on that cam? Cc of the heads? Who's tuning it?

Should get you 325-355 at the flywheel. It will run good. I'd mill the heads to 57cc to get closer to 9.8:1 compression.

Man nice times for sure, I am thinking about jumping on that deal Summit has on Trick Flow heads. I already have Holley Systamax Intake, Just not sure I want to spend money on this car yet. I do have BBK Longtubes ready to go in along with a 3inch Pro Chamber H-Pipe with a Mac Catback

8.20s @ 87 is getting it for just B-Cam & Headers! Of course you have the Good GT40 Heads & Intake & 1.7 Rockers. I bet it sounds good at idle. I love B-Cams

If I do put Heads on my Coupe I want to run the N.41 cam

My main question on milling is, will that much effect intake fitment? Pvc? I would love to get them ported and 2.02 valves. They flow ALOT at that point.

I would have the machine shop verify the cc. I have some AFR 165's that were suppose to be 60cc and were actually 63cc.

I took them up to a local engine building shop when I first got them and as soon as I mentioned anything about gasket matching, or any kind of work they said "we don't do performance applications, which is crap! I think they thought I was wanting them HOGGED out.

Where's a good place In ft worth area?

I use Charles auto machine locally, and House of Hotrods in Mansfield has a nice machine shop.
