thats true, ive just never seen them go so far as to hand out flyers.

i dont neccsarily see this whole thing as bad, i was just more surprised and curious about this action that they took and hoped it would get someone from TXR to post up here.

as far as the track closing goes well, if it was ran the way NSnick and the gang did it the track wouldnt have so many problems. i go almost every friday with 80coupe and every sunday for the last 2 months and head count isnt a problem, they are selling plenty of tickets. i think the problem then can only be bad money managment.

Long as the track is prepped decent and not too many people drag water on the starting line, it will all be fine!

Remember street tire people.....go AROUND the water, not through it.

Amen, it was not pleasant, hitting oil on the top end.

So K'dale has a VHT budget and they buy it in bulk. lol

Getting into any kind of fluid at any track is a given, it's a known chance you take. There's no way any track can get 100% of the oil every time, on every pass...and I can promise you that EVERY single car that goes down that track leaks, in some form or fashion.

I've been through the traps at Denton @120 sideways and didn't hit anything.

I've been sideways at Kennedale and hit the wall @ 110 or so. It can happen anywhere and anytime.

That is true, but I have never had it happen at the dale. The dale has just gone down hill. It is sad to watch too. It all comes down to management. When Butch owned the track, it was a very nice track, and even after Bill Hielscher bought it, the track was still a good track. Once he died and his daughter got the track, that is when it started heading down hill. It is just going to take a good owner to bring it back. That is all that track needs.

They have given out flyers for other cruises before. Some flyers at the gate and some flyers sent in the mail. So this is not there first time to do if.

Its not like we are renting the track or anything. Its more business for them means more money.

                            Just curious....
How has it gone downhill since Jeff left? Not a Jeff hater, but nothing is different.

I sure wish there would be some real proof about it closing soon, I keep hearing that, but no proof. The three sex oriented shops are closed, that was on the cities list to be gone. Might be true?

VHT budget? Maybe they were out, broken sprayer, or they didn't see it worth spraying.

Ghetto track? Even I'm smart enough not to go on Sunday. TnT Wed, Fridays aren't that bad, and of course, the best day is Bracket day! But I'm a bracket racer anyway. Nice and safe those days.

The cruise will be fine, remember, it's not the track that oils it down, racers do that. If you are broken or think you may be leaking, PULL OVER! It's easier to clean up 100' of mess, than it is when you drive all the way back to your pit.

And like already stated, they have ALWAYS been open to the public, I think most will choose to stay away that day that are not members. The few I've been at were good.

The website has had problems for a while now, it's been discussed on the other board too.

If you want it to be a private event then rent the track. Then you'll be bitching about how expensive it is.
