Jet was right on the fuel system, that car is done after 575ish to the tire.

Y'all gonna pull a ton of timing after 6k or is the car staying there until the new hat and pumps are put in and tuned for?

There's 5.0s making 430-440 with just exhaust/LTs, a JLT and tune. The guts are surpassing 600 with FI.

I understand why you have trepidation with that much compression, but that's the reason they're making so much power.

Your dynamic compression would be lower if that is the case. I don't know anything about the cams but that is just a guess. Also, the engine has oil squirters cooling the bottom side of the piston, that helps a lot with cooling the chamber.

I want to see what happens when someone builds one with a swimming pool in the piston, nice rods and a gigantic turbo. I'd love to finance just such an enterprise but fuck me that would be expensive.

Same car is going to do the built motor here soon, and pulley swap. We have another 5.0 up here I think were are going to strap a set of twins to it.

How much is the twin setup going to cost?

Good question, we are still discussing the placement and all that good stuff. As we go along I will post up more info.

With 10psi of boost, and only spinning it to 6.2k...we have made 650rwhp on pump gas with only 8-10degrees of timing. These are very initial numbers, as the stock pump is running out of fuel past 6k. We are installing a fuel system as we speak, and plan to do an E85 tune also. With spiining it to 7k, it should make near 700rw on pump gas, and close to 800rw on e85. Not bad for a bone stock 5.0 motor! These are impressive animals

having a tightly controlled engine management helps, using wide bands instead of narrow bands.

A 11:1 blower fed 5.0 would be pretty torquey.

Chris, can you let us know what kind of investment it takes for this set-up? A good friend is taking delivery of an '11, and is considering some type of charger/turbo.

                                Thanks.
