Discovery Channel will be at NSD

On Friday, April 6th, the Discovery Channel and their production team will be at NSD to film a portion of a new car-themed reality show. They will be filming the main protion of the show prior to the races, but will be sticking around to shoot our Friday Night races for additional footage for the show. If you're looking for some track time in the near future, you may end up the show if you race that night. Should be fun.

I don't know for sure. I was only given the "working title" for the show and really no other information, other than it follows a Dallas Hot Rod Shop. This will be the second episode in the series and it should air some time this summer. The production team came out today and scouted the location and talked about where they would be filming from. They told me they plan to shoot the majority of our Friday Night program, though who knows how much will actually air.

I'm not sure of the scandal. I googled it today and it was back in 06. The way I look at it, if there was a scandal 6 years ago and they are still in business with Discovery Channel doing a special on them....it can't be that big of a deal.

He supposedly bought some cars already complete and customized, put some very small changes and passed it off as completely built by him. Iirc

I know of one car that he bought that was already pretty much done. He put interior in it and sold it
I don't know if he sold it as built by GM but I know he didn't build the car
