I've never seen that many people in one place (as far as a race track is concerned.). There was NO place to park, you had to get creative. The racing was intense
The track had teeth. The right lane suffered because of the chevyII that spilled the trans in epic fashion. Spewed a TON of synthetic trans fluid on the line. It killed the right lane all night, but Nick made it as good as possible - He moved the burnout box up further which allowed most of the cars to burnout over the line and fix it as good as possible.
Later, the outlaw camaro smacked the wall lightly, wasn't real bad. Cornbread got it too (didn't see that one). Econodrag tried to tear the bumper off of the ranger.. crazy.
We had a great night out with fast408's mustang in the 5.20 class. This was the first weekend out since the makeover during the beginning of last season. We were even on the 1.5 yr old tires. Tony drove good all night, cutting .045-.077 lights. He had one situation where the car wasn't warmed up and it wouldn't come up on boost in the lights - it finally did, but it jumped all the way into the stage bulbs. He had to stop it with the trans brake button - his light suffered to the tune of a .144, but luckily - it was on the pass where the car ran a 5.207@141 to the competitors 5.33x - MOV was .0075 I think.
All in all, I think we went something like 14 passes over Friday and Saturday. Saturday bieng something like 5.40, 5.32-Q1, 5.27 - Q2, 5.23, 5.22, 5.20, and 5.30 (let off).
Long story short, we ended up with the win and 2500$
Nick, the track was badass man - too bad that right lane got hosed. Good show!
