  • Kudos to the Dad and his two daughters at K'dale last night

I have not been there in over a year or two. But a guy had his two daughter one 16? and one 8-10 years old. Both driving rail cars. The older girl ran a best of 4.8 @ 140 mph. The other in a jr dragster I think ran an 8.2. Talking about a Dad making the best of a situation. My hat is off to him.

Yeah, seen that a couple of times when out there - some girls. Of course, I backed off talking with a few of them when asking about how they were built. Some just wanted to re-iterate 1000 times how it was fast than my car and most others there.

Still, I think it's a nice thing for kids and those are bad ass little machines.

I've thought about getting my girls into this (I have 3) but the 8 and 6 y/o's live with their mom in PA and my youngest is only 15 months... soooo I guess I have a while to wait before my youngest will be ready.

His name is Mike, and he is a member here. TD4087 is his screenname I think. He has a 4.4x dragster too. Great people and great family.

No, you raced Ralph Glass. He isn't a member here. Mike's car is blue and white.

I was about to say , if it was him, he probably race the 16 year old. How old is she? Hell I thought she was 14 at a glance.

She was a killer Jr Dragster driver, won plenty. I've known Mike since the early 70's and he does have a fast car too! I'm sure he'll chime in soon.

I have 3 kids, two sons, 12 and 22 and they DO NOT go race with me or care about it. My daughter is 23 and was at the track the week she was born and would live there if possible. Raced Jr's, and now bracket races too. For some reason she prefers the street car.

That is all good. All I could think was a man got all girls and made one hell of a contribution to making sure he was part of their lives. So Cool! I would vote him father of the year award.

Hell, all I could think if I had a girl was I would not potty train her. That way when she went on her first date, she would shit in his car and he would bring her home.

What do you mean? "making the best of a situation"? What situation is he in?

I think he's talking about having two girls . For a lot of dads it's hard for them to find a common interest to share .

I have three its all about spending time with them and making memories when you can. If you can't get them into your hobbies then get into theirs. Its a sacrifice but well worth ever bit of effort and $$$$$$$$.
