There have been reports of broken clavical bones in wrecks when a hans was worn. Not that the Necksgen wont have them, but several sanctioning bodies have stopped requiring the hans.

I'm sure mine will stay in the trailer unless we are at a big race and there making people wear them. My neck brace works just fine.

I don't think you'll have near the problem with a necksgen, as they have a webbing for the legs instead of the hard plastic/carbon. Remove excessive pressure from the collar bones, remove the increased chance for broken collar bones.

Interesting video showing a Hans wearer hitting a wall sideways

The hans devices are not designed for side impacts, only for front and rear ones. If you want side protection, you still need a full containment seat. the helmet tether for Hans devices slides along the backside of the device to allow the driver to turn his/her head left or right to look out the side of the car.

                    Yeah.

Need to buy a fire suit, don't want to drop a fortune. What is everyone using and where did you buy/what did you pay?
