If you hold down the traction control button for 10 seconds it turns off the traction control and the active handling or whatever it's called.

I don't know if that will help short times, but it's worth a shot.

That car should be able to get into the 12s quite a few folks have been saying they are quicker than the M6. I was around 12.9-13.0 bone stock now with a tune and muffler deletes I have gone 12.4...hoping to break into high 11s with some traction.

The calculators say that would equate to a 1/4 mile time of 13.28@106.7. I would be suprised if that's all the mph it would make. I read one guy that said his auto ran about the same, then on an SCT tune 20 minutes later, ran a 12.2@113 with NO OTHER CHANGES. I don't see how the mph could jump that much with just a tune. I was kinda hoping for a high 12 around 110 or so honestly...

Mine is stock and you can tell that bitch pulls on the top end. I raced a BMW 335i with a few mods, it was a little close since I was spinning through first, but once I got hooked up I started pulling like crazy. I thought I was going to lose, but the 5.0 put about 3 cars on him once it got going on the top end.

These new 5.0's are insane. I was going to ennis today but this weather sucks. Hopefully next week will be nice. I still need to get some wheels and tires. These stockers suck.

Did Ford limit the top speed on your car? Any idea about a top speed? I hear/read all about the new Cobra running 200mph, but not much on the 5.0 cars.

I'd have to find my time slips but I think 113 before at Crandall but that was on the rev limiter due to my 373 after mods I went 116 at Baytown that's where I ran the 12.4 best to date the 1/8 was 90 mph. 1.95 60'

Top speed is limited to 150 or 155 (can't remember which) on stock GTs. But that's easily removed by any/every aftermarket tune. Stock GTs with a tune will run 170.

I'm not so sure about stock autos being quicker or faster than stock manual cars. Just sayin.

I was running 92-94 mph in the 1/8
