  • Spring Cruise 2012 awards ceremony.

    This one's a doozey.

    1) Doug Hatton gets top honors for the burnout in reverse. Yes, full on tire smoke and the whole 9.

2)Silver Vette - I've never seen that much broken shit and fluid out of one car in that short of a distance since Bigshoe's powerglide shit the bed a couple years back.

3)Coolest car to be flogged on - Junkies GTR. 7.0's is no joke for a stock car with a tune (from what I hear)

4)EconoDrag for having the closest call with disaster while driving Geronimo's car. It could have been a lot worse, He did a great job keeping it from getting REAL bad.

5)Most authentic 4WD looking mustang - The blue fox GT with the FR500's. (It's a REALLY nice looking car, just sits up high.)

6)Most smoke in single pass - BEARY's car made quite the mesquito fogging specticle when the trans let go in the traps!! Anything north of NSD mesquito-wise is GONE

7)32Vfromhell making yet another cruise with no parts breakage.

8)Most consistenly out of shape every pass and most likely to touch the PASSENGER side door handle on the ground during a launch goes to teh pewter Fbody.

9)Longest almost-uneventful-and-jinxing-yourself-and-most-improved goes to Dville GT for making the voyage to NSD without a trailer (after mentioning it prior to the cruise - big no-no), making his best pass ever, and losing a trans on the drive home......

10)Biggest ballin' car to go down the track - IMHO, Junkie's GTR or possibly the SCJ.

as usual, I KNOW there's more - fill 'em in.

Hey I drove a 120 miles round trip, unfortunately I never made a full pass before breaking my trans AGAIN. becoming a theme for me

Awesome turn out yesterday. I think there were more good looking, tastfully modified cars out there thanI have ever seen. Some sexy Stangs.

And thanks to Brooks for organizing this whole deal again, I appreciate it as I'm sure everyone else does too !!

btw, I have about an hour long video that I'm uploading to youtube now. I should be making a thread here in about an hour when it gets done.

Do tires not hook up the same after a reverse burn out? Haha

Thanks Brooks and NSD for putting it on. Breakage on the 1st pass sucks, but still a great day! A new best 60' and ET. Though! So glad I wasn't in Bradenton for the NMRA spring opener, as was planned, but God had something different in store for me. Glad I could eradicate some mosquitoes and thankful I didn't oil down the track and create any delays. Some really nice cars out this time and a damn great save in Geronimo's ride. James, good to meet you and sorry to hear about your trans failure. Brooks thanks for the input on my 2nd to 3rd shifting, I'll be sure and mention it to Dynamic when I send it in .
