Does anyone have any experience with APEX at Cresson? Thinking of taking a class with them.

Only other road course track I have experience with is Eagles Canyon and that was on a motorcycle with the ride smart group.

Apex is great for a first timer. I like their classroom and first time out threshold braking/slalom exercises (guy in an rx7 spun out in the slalom!). It's a one day class too which is helpful so you can figure out if you want to do it more often.

If you want a two day class, The Drivers Edge offers 2 day classes.

MSR vs. EC. I won't go back to EC even though it's closer. EC has shitty run off, is bumpy as hell. Boring track too (long straight, 180* turn, rinse repeat). MSR has a good variety of turns, easy run off and good facilities. What you learn out there will be applicable to many other tracks in the area (which will make you a better driver at those tracks).

Here's a video inside of my Evo @ MSR with TDE. You can turn off the sound to not bother with the talk between me and my instructor (who was a friend):

Apex is a great format. They provide you with 6 runs in 1 day. I instruct for them, and about 3 other schools. Apex is my favorite though, because it doesn't take up my whole weekend. MSR is a pretty good track as well. Off camber turns, elevation changes, and a pretty good straight away or 2.

If anyone is intersted in seeing what it is all about. We are having an event this saturday. Come on out and look for me, and I can get you all details. Look for the Open Track Shop Car. I will be testing that day, as well as taking newbs for rides.

          Look for this car.......

I've got a motorcycle event to go to that day/weekend but if I get done early I'll have to swing by and take a look. I've been up there a few times to observe motorcycle races but haven't been there for a car track day.

Cool. Cars are allot of fun.....faster lap times then the bikes too.
