I ran an 8.3x on the previous run. I saw a vette that I thought I could beat. Turns out he had a little work done to it but trying to catch him did wonders for my time... the vette ran *ahem* a 7.17 at 99.89mph. I apparently didn't do a good job picking...

Yeah, I was excited ...that you and I lined up because i had been getting SMOKED by all the serious drag cars. I felt like your car and mine would be a pretty close race. I still think Im not quite driving mine to its potential as last week was my first time out but those 5.0s are NASTY. So you raced that vett? That thing was moving I was watching it all afternoon.

Lol, yeah, i ran that vette. I didn't see him run and I figured it was a run of the mill vette. Turns out I was wrong... Spanked me like a red headed step child...
We were a good race. We'll have to do that again. I'll probably be out there next weekend barring preloaded plans by the girlfriend. I generally find out AFTER we start doing something that *we* had planned it last week. How long have you had your car?
