its a misconception. Of course, if you are coming from the North side of DFW, Redline is closer.

Of course, for you and I, Crandall is a 10 minute drive. Sucks to see it have so much trouble.
Im in Arlington so they are both out in BFE for me. I just know when I went to my step dads funeral I drove by Crandall and was amazed how far out it was.

But it just seemed like Crandall was way out in the sticks compared to DFW but I could be wrong. I dont know that area at all.

If you're coming from Arlington on 20, Crandall is closest.

Actually, it is closest taking 20 or 30.

We are fortunate to have so many tracks to choose from in North Texas. If you include Dallas Raceway, I can think of 7 of them. Most areas of the country, if you are lucky, may have 2 choices within a 50 mile radius. For instance, I think Los Angeles has 2 tracks in the area. Both of them are junk. I'm planning to get to the track more often this year. The old lady has even expressed an interest in racing! Her father in law would have been blown away if he was still around!

Raceway was a good drive from where I live, but it was a nice track. Ran the stang a few times out there. Closest track to me is Northstar. Wish it was a 1/4 though..lol

Crandall is a very nice facility. But driving all the way from OK it was run a little too poorly for the drive we made to get there. Northstar is hands down imho the best track in DFW. If somehow it was made a 1/4 mile track would just further cement that. Well a guy can dream i guess.

My wifes been on me to finish one of my cars. I tell her to make me some more money to buy me some more time.

I live in the middle of nowhere southern arkansas and I've got access to three tracks within 90 miles.

Two 1/4 mile tracks and a 1000' track. The 1000' track got new owners a couple years ago and they've put some money into it and made it a good bit nicer. I need to attend more often, but I don't like watching, I'd rather be tearing up my own car.

I could not agree more. Very sad to see it go, But we do have good tracks left to support. Redline, Northstar, and Motorplex all have done good by me

i hate to say it, but this doesn't surprise me. my buddy Bryan went there a couple of times before i did and said that there was hardly anyone there so he got as many passes as he wanted.

i got to go twice last year and that's exactly how it was....maybe 20 cars there by the time we left. if that. and the price to get in and race was, imo, cheap as hell. i hope the that track isnt closed because i liked that it always had plenty of test & tunes. i prefer 1/4 since im not on a sticky tire.

Agreed. The website sucked & I could never tell if they were open. Calling didn't help either.

This is how it was the several times I went also....Most the time there was no one running and nothing to watch between your runs....I figured it would not take long to close up at that rate...Sucks being it was a nice track and 1/4 mile....

Its not that far out,I live in Crandall and I work off 183 & Regal Row and it only takes me about 35-40 min to get to work. That sucks if they really are closing since it so close but we go to K-Dale,Redline,and Northstar anyways..
