One thing we have found, when making huge power on E85, you need massive fuel systems. Twin Weldon pumps for 1000+ rw setups, 3+ walbros with boost-a-pumps on 800rw street cars, ect. And don't forget about injectors....120pound injectors min for cars making any power, 220's for high hp.

Update
After the car made 87Xrwhp, which was up over 120+rw from when the car ran 9's. Jim at KB asked us to put the next smaller pulley on the car, which was the smallest that fits the blower 3". He wanted over 900rw thru the stock auto. We figured we had come this far, why not? let's see if the stock 5.0 could handle the smallest pulley you could put on a 3.6l blower. That pulley put us at 25psi!
At first we were getting belt slip. So we got a tighter belt on it. After one of the pulls, I looked at my gauges and the oil pressure gauge was red and it showed nothing. I killed it right away. After checking the oil and seeing small pieces of bearing material we decided to pull it out. The oil pump gears broke! I had ordered billet gears after being warned numerous times about this problem. Unfortunately they were on backorder and showed up a week after mine broke. So it had 2 bad rod bearings. We replaced them and put it back in the car. Normally I would never do this. I would normally make the motor stronger if I have it out already. I had aggreed with Jim to find out what the stock motor would take, so.... We put it all back in. I drove it a little bit and after the oil change looked good, we figured it was time. We put it on the dyno, I started with the 3.25" pulley just to make sure we were back where we started. It made a few pulls and on one of them it was at 7k around 8xxrw and a piston broke. It shot the rod out of the block. So we never got over 900rw with it. However 87Xrw thru an auto and stock converter is not bad with crappy pistons! I pulled this motor to the 7600rpm all the time.
I am done playing with the stock motor! We are now going to put Oliver billet rods with JE or Diamond pistons. Since I almost pulled off the smallest pulley you can put on the 3.6l with the stock motor. We are stepping the blower up a little, going to the 4.2l. Should be fun, now let's see what the trans will handle!Blue 99 cobra with flames 7.7@180, 4.9@146 in the 1/8 on 275 radials. Thats very impressive Manny. Once I get out of the warranty I'll probably go with a 2.8LC KB, complete exhaust and tune. I want to keep the car streetable and on pump 93...HenryOriginally posted by SilverbackLook all you want, she can't find anyone else who treats her as bad as I do, and I keep her self esteem so low, she wouldn't think twice about going anywhere else.

I think some where around 600-650rw thru an auto seems to be my comfort zone. It seems like when you are looking for much more then that I have to pull a ton of timing. That kind of power can easily put a full weight car in the mid 10's with traction. After that you need a fuel system also.Blue 99 cobra with flames 7.7@180, 4.9@146 in the 1/8 on 275 radials.
