IMO ability to run on pump gas, (doesn't have to always operate on pump just have the ability to), be able to withstand the seasons in daily traffic where it lives ie 110 degree texas heat in rush hour bumper to bumper traffic, and be able to have tag and insurance. Creature comforts are not necessary as most old cars did not even come with them. Just needs to be able to drive to and from your work LEGALLY on a daily basis if needed. ie if for what ever reason it were the only car you were left with could you drive it every day legally?
