Street car

you would think that "passing inspection" would be a given... but putting an off-road x/h pipe on a car would exclude that. its too complicated and everyone has their own opinion of what a "street car" is. if the car can go 50 miles on the street and not have to worry about every law enforcment officer you might see... you're a street car IMO.

here in texas i think a real "street car" needs to have working air conditioning/heat, tags, be able to fill up at a normal gas station, locking doors, real glass, ability to drive 50 miles without giving it a second thought, have a radio/lights/etc.

My 96 Ford aspire didn't come with a radio. Racecar?





This has been discussed a million times and never gets anywhere. Most actually got smart and don't even argue it anymore.

my car is a street car. I can drive it anytime anywhere any distance and not worry about. its also a flex fuel car. and it will pass inspection. to me thats a street car.

My 93 Tercel defines streetcar. 40+mpg, freezing a/c, 4spd manual, stereo system thats 3x the value of the car....prob makes 50hp on a good day. 0 to 60 in 2-3 hrs....bring it!
