  • Drag Racing lost a legend - RIP Bobby Langley

He actually passed last week, but I didn't hear about it till last night.

He was a TRUE pioneer in drag racing, people like him is why this hobby/sport/business flourish.

(some of the people who've attended the BHRA events at TXR will remember seeing him and/or the scorpion in the parades - shown in the last pic in the above link)

RIP Bobby. I've met him several times at various events and shows. Really nice guy and he was 'there' when it was all happening. He always had a huge grin when they fired it up.

Damn, just saw him a couple weeks ago at the NHRA Fall Nationals when I got to be a push vehicle for one of the old front engine dragsters. His car was one of the ones that was push started and in the cacklefest.

          RIP, sir.

I have known Bobby for years, he was a "Good Man" who loved the sport of drag racing. Bobby and his wife Ruth were regular guest of Kenny Bernstein at the fall nationals every year.
RIP Bobby. Thanks for all the memories with the Scorpion TFD.
