congrats mike. you're getting there, buddy. not bad on your short times. mine were typically 1.7x, but i only launched at 2,500

you're getting closer to what i was running with a 3,600 lbs. n/a bolt on 2000 GT with a sct canned tune, 4.56 gears, aluminum drive shaft, e.t. streets, and a alan brown custom built 10" torque converter.

i'm jealous of your curb weight on that coke can you call a fox body mustang. i would have been in the 7s at your stated weight of 2880.

2880 was before the a/c delete and front runners.

Its at 2740, 2920 with me in it.

I really haven't made the car unbearable either. The only thing that is iffy is that my seats are out. And I plan on putting those back in, just having some fun.

The short times are not bad, but I'm still getting ALOT of wheel spin and the car is Launching sideways, it could be an air pressure issue now that I think about it, I start the night off at 15psi, and like a fool I didn't check it after each pass.

The way I see it, and correct me if I'm wrong but if I can get the 60ft down to 1.6x with suspension mods and some new slicks, 8.10-8.20 should'nt be out of the question.

From there I'm not sure what I'm going to do to run my goal of 7.9x. I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get there, lol!

And if you can get you 60' down to a 1.2x, then you'll definately be in the 7's!!!

I'll have to start stripping some weight from mine after the Vortech. Some tubular stuff and a rear seat delete will be first.

Haha yeah, I need to do tubular stuff too. After I get the chassis set up I'll throw on h/c/I or something, still not sure what I want under the hood just yet.

Test and tune is a track event, and these are results.
