I don't know that i would want to hit a solid object like concrete when a metal guardrail will slow you down.

You watch the video of the crash and you will see what the metal guard rail will do. The same thing it done to Clifton's car a few years ago at TXR. The metal guard rail is very bad deal. Lucky no one was KILLED when it shot the car off in the air towards the pits.

We made 6-7 passes and the only problem we had was standing on the bumper. Best 60's the car has ever done on any track.

I just shake my head in disbelief at all the spectators crowding around the car getting in the way of the safety people. Had a Mustang do that exact same thing at the Ford/Buick shootout in Noble back in 2003 that narrowly missed my Buick but he got it back under control before hitting the wall. I'm guessing one tire lost traction.

I just noticed this, but for the other driver to stop, get out, and jump over the rail to help Mike is a pretty stand up thing to do. Most people would just keep going.

The cage was 'ok' but not REAL nice quality wise, but it did do it's job. You cant take on those kinds of hits and not expect some decent damage.

It had SEVERAL joints that were on their way out if they took on any more big hits.. but again, it did it's job this time.
