If you had the choose between those and drag launch springs, which would you chose?

For me, neither..but it's not mine.

I don't necessarily subscribe to the whole 4 cylinder spring thing (my car came with them, I didn't put them in).

The whole point of changing springs is to make the front end rise faster (within reason) and to dampen it's motion with the use of (adjustable) struts. By using softer front springs, it takes more energy to make the front end rise - and the stiffer springs (coupled with the strut valving) keep it from falling so fast.

Same reason we use STIFFER front springs than stock when we do coil over conversions (in 99% of drag cars).

The use of those springs will make your car drive like a shrimp boat in the front. You are welcome to these, they are free - see what they do for you, they just might work.

What about running SouthSides? Get some extra lift. I would take all the weight out as you could. Bumper supports? Who needs 'em? Smog pump? What smog? No need for a/c. Sweating is good for you.

Get a light weight valve train if you're doing springs. I would do a full tubular front as well.

Just found this... Should be a close race.. I don't have an air filter but I have a more aggressive tune on 93 octane and lighter rims... I figured I could run an 8.8@80, looks like a good guess!

I hit up Irwindale 1/8 mile track tonight and had an awesome time. Tons of domestic muscle but there were a group of imports(rsx, civics, integs, evo's) Got 5 runs in. Im car 1038. Launching at about 2.5 with LC I was surprisingly faster than all the imports there that looked daily driven. I...

assuming an average light from both of you, he'll kill you inside of 100' Matt - you'll never run him down running the same back half.

Lol I'm not talking at the track. You should know me better. On street either he will be on street tires or cold slicks. I don't spin from a roll or a stop on street ( I know how to leave lights hard). Plus I usually race farther than an eigth on the street (over 80)

I'm sure it'll be closer than anyone thinks...

Well I'll be honest. My car isn't fast at all.

Im only good at low speeds and only up to about 110mph.

Traction is an issue even with 245s. In 2nd gear if I'm in power it'll spin sometimes. Depends on the road quality.

I'm down to run, idk about this Friday tho
