I got this last night from the Motorplex. Could be fun, anyone going?
Thundering Thursdays street legal racing nights feature the best grudge and street racing, Happy Hour food and drink specials, games and more this Thursday, Aug. 11. As if that wasn’t enough to entertain everyone on a steamy Thursday night, there will be live music in the AIR CONDITIONED Champion’s Club this week too! Charlie Shafter will be performing LIVE in a concert presented by the Ennis Arts Commission in the Champion's Club where we will also be showing the Dallas Cowboy's first pre-season game against Denver.
Thundering Thursday events allow any licensed driver to feel like John Force, line up on the famous Texas Motorplex starting line and thunder down the all-concrete quarter-mile track.
Admission for spectators 13 and older will be $5 and racing is just $10.
Gates open at 7 p.m. and racing is from 8 p.m. until midnight. Check out www.texasmotorplex.com or call (972) 878-2641 for more information.
The series will feature a high school championship and is intended to be entertaining to fans as well as help curb illegal street racing.
