  • DFWMustangs Midnight Cruise?

    Hey guys,

I need to get your feedback on the Cruise scheduled for August 20th at NSD. With the unprecedented heat we have seen, we were thinking about changing the gate times to give the Cruise some more favorable conditions and avoid the 100+ degree temps.

Instead of opening at 6pm, starting racing at 7pm, and closing at midnight, we are thinking of opening at 7:30pm, starting racing at 8:30pm, and closing at 1:30am.

Before changing the times just a couple of weeks prior to the race, we would like to get your thoughts. Please use this thread/poll to voice your thoughts.

    Thanks,

    NSD

FYI everyone, Saturday night - the weather was pretty good Saturday night for the Tex275 race. I think this is a great idea Nick.

Atleast that fire ball in the sky won't be beating down on us all of the time. If the track is wet down about 1/2 hour before race time, the track temps wouldn't be that bad and would probably stay down.

X2 It wasn't that bad at all when the sun was down. I didn't get there till around 8:30, but it was nice then.

Yeah it came to life for once. lol Only reason It got loose on me was because the guy on the starting line put a cone on the starting line and I had to start out of the grove and that got it loose when the boost kicked in. It saw 19lbs on the controller. I tried to make another pass right after that and I told him this time to move the damn cone, but I forgot to turn the boost up on the controller. It just wasn't stalling up to the right RPM on the starting line for some reason that night. On the brake it usually stalls up to 3500 but I was only getting 3k out of it and thats not high enough to build boost up. So it was acting lazy. I'm going to drain the fluids out of the trans and see if that fixes it.
