  • Fellow racer needs your thoughts and prayers

Most of you may not know him, but Troy Byrd's (a friday night regular at Kennedale) son was hit by a car and is in Cooks Childrens right now, listed in critical condition. I don't know the details of the situation, other than it was a hit and run, the cops caught up to the lady (which fit the description that Devon's friend gave)

Troy is a great guy, and his son is a good kid too - I sure hope he pulls though this.

Man, that's awful. I understand that accidents sometime happen, but I hope that bitch gets what's coming to her for fleeing the scene and not trying to render aid.

        Praying for Devon.

Thats sad!! I have been keeping up with the news story, I cant believe that woman drove off and even now, she isnt answering questions. I hope they nail her ass to the wall.

Heard last night on the news that they put the boy into a medically induced coma. I hope a speedy recovery for him.

Denny/Lason I agree 100% - I can NOT believe that someone would be so dumb as to drive off and not render aid. I can only hope she will get what's coming to her, I mean, it's one thing to hit an adult who could possibly 'defend' themselves, but to hit an innocent child is beyond comprehension for me.

I just hope that they're not smart enough to "wash" the evidence from the vehicle - whatever that evidence may be.

I've talked with Troy via texts a few times this morning trying to see if I can help in any way. I wanted to send Devon a gift, toy or something - but he said that it was enough to even mention helping and that Devon can't really have anything there anyways.

I'll keep you all posted as I hear from Troy.

Saw that on the news the other day too
Very sickening that someone could do that to someone, let alone a child.
Prayers out for him and his family!

They better charge that cunt with everything they can, theres no excuse for hitting someone and driving off, especially a defenseless child
