What safety equipment is required for 6.5's in the 1/8th?

    I want to agree with this but not sure. Shelly's car has a cage and it runs quicker the 7.49

      8.59 and faster helmet. I think 7.35 and faster needs a jacket, and a bar. 6.99 is cage. All the other stuff, gloves, chassis cert, driver license, ect, is at 6.39 (9.90 1/4) and faster. NHRA rules and track specific rules may be different, some tracks may require more saftey at slower speeds. Another thing to remember, obnoxios burn-outs, almost hitting the wall, or other stupid actions that might bring attention to your car will get you looked at real quick!

      I always made motor passes, then later when no one was looking, turned the bottle on, no purging or anything, and no one payed attention to a bracket car, but now it's all legal...

      Safety stuff is one thing you CANNOT have enough of. I don't care if it's only a little street car.

      I will get the TXR specifics tomorrow night if you want, or just ask the tower yourself if you are out.
