pretty sure he's referencing the LS series of blocks (LS7,etc.) and not the actual "LSx" block

Just being a smartass, I know the lsx block series are strong as fuck.

Too bad GM doesn't put it in a car off the showroom floor.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isnt the cast iron modular block strong as hell too? I've been told they'll hold up to 2000hp - idk.

I've seen the ford GT make 1500-1700 and hold. Those are cast?

You realize the iron LQ4/LQ9 LSX truck blocks have gone well over 1000hp along with stock cranks, heads, etc, right? The block isnt the problem most of the time, its the oiling system.

And why would GM put a race block on a showroom car? You remember Ford put blocks in mustangs for years that tear themselves apart at 500hp.

Wasn't dogging anyone i was asking a question.

Oh and, why not throw a lsx in a zr1 or zo6? That would be cool, nothing wrong with a factory race engine..

4.6 Teksid block will handle whatever you wanna throw at it, Brian. Put together a little twin turbo Cobra and beat the shit out of it on the street and strip.

I'm looking at a couple Novas, 68-72. My ls3 made 800 friendly rwhp and was a blast to drive. Making the same amount of power and throw in the mix of early iron and I'm a happy camper.

I want a grand sport, just not there yet. I want a cruiser for now....
Doing enough racing for 99% of the board!

There is a vega wagon for sale where I live.

It looks like it's pretty original. Says 2500 on it, priced high I think. Body is straight. I believe it runs.
