So I redid some of my exhaust, put a shiny new flex section in. My car was down on power at COTA and overheating exhaust fasteners, well I found my problem Where can I buy one of these that is worth a shit? This prob cost me $250 in track time.
I cannot answer your question, but did have a question. That looks pretty new, I'd push for a refund/replacement. (keep around as backup) That's crazy.

make sure you get a new one with INTERLOCK LINING. The reason it failed is because it just has braided stainless on the inside. The interlock lining wont collapse like yours did. Heres a pic of the inside of the flew with interlock lining
I am out of the office today but just talked to someone in the shop they are going to get me a picture and some measurements and I will let you know here in an hour or two.
Yep, as mentioned above, you can remove that braid - but it makes for a tough time TIG welding them, as the ID of that pipe is about .090" bigger with the braid removed...but still manageable.
Turns out this SOB cost me some exhaust valves too, my compression numbers were shit after this so I pulled the damn head a few days ago, gotta get it all buttoned up for MSR-C in 2 weeks too
Moral of the story, don't cheap out on a racecar, costs you more money in the long run, fuck....
