Still going on! I was on spring break all last week so nothing much happened there. I put the time off into working on my car which now moves under its own power finally. I'll have some updates wednesday, I gotta machine a few parts up then i'll post. I've collected up a bunch of brass and im going to pour a brass cannon for a friend of mine that has a lathe/mill to finish it out on. Here is his pattern:
A couple aluminum round and flat bars I poured so we could practice on the lathe/mill.
Aluminum shell and fan assembly from our last casting. Ill add some more images ones it comes together I bit more. These are all in the layout stages so ignore the tape and shorter sections spun tube. Shell is about 18" in length.
They call it art. The things I have posted were created within the sculpture department here at school.
The aluminum shell is basically a manifold for the open end of the tubes on this piece to connect to. I am making some potassium nitrate smoke bombs in hopes of it leaving some residue/mark when existing the outlets on the white shell.
