How many have you actually seen? I've only seen a pic of one, the rest are just idiots on turbo mustangs talking shit because they saw the same pic once. They use those flex bellows on millions of factory cars, so if a thousand of them went bad that's a pretty good failure rate. I figure the ones on cars like ours go bad cause the person putting it on twisted the shit out of it for whatever reason. I'm totally busting your balls, but its out of love. That and I'm right!

But I do figure if a part is going to fail it will be on my car.

hell, the flex bellows on my last car had a gm part # on the box (from a tahoe!) I figure excessive egts cant be very good for them...but anyways, back to nicks kit lol...

I picked up a little something tonight...

300 cubic foot of 75/25. Now I gotta go get some new tips and wire. My welder recommends .023 or .030 wire. What do you y'all think would be best for my simple projects? The chart on the welder door says either wire will weld the same metal just at different speeds on the feed. I imagine that the heavier wire and slower feed speed would be more efficient.

With that little welder the smaller wire would work better and be easier to use.

The sad thing is the little welder cost less than the bottle.

FWIW, I use only .023 wire. The thicker stuff just doesn't weld as good on most car related tasks. (Some places sell .023, .025 & .027 - they all work pretty good - just make sure the tips fit the wire properly)
