Man it's a bitch to TIG together bends, atleast the way I am doing it, does anyone have any tools or techniques to hold the 2 bends together so you can tack them up? I drilled some holes in some worm clamps but with it being AC and running 125A it was too much heat for the stainless worm clamp.

4 sets of hands... masking tape, peel back a little section and tack it.

Normally, I tape the pieces together.

If it's on a bend, tape it on the inside and outside of the bend. (these are the hardest places to 'tack' since they are inconsistent in their thickness) Once you've taped it there, tack it on each side.

If it's straight, tack where convenient.

first off, no gaps. they are a bitch to weld if you have any gaps. Tape the joint together 360 degrees. slice a small section and tack it. then repeat in 4 sections. pull tape and weld complete. Use a higher heat to tack it so that you get a puddle quickly. that way you will not melt the glue on the tape that fast
