  • Where to buy quality drill bit set?

Like the title states where would you buy a quality set of drill bits? Looking for a set for work where there is a good mix of stainless and mild steel stuff.

no matter how good the quality they will dull. Invest in a good drill bit sharpener. I have a drill doctor. I dull bits all the time and it has paid for itself.
JamesB Chassis is looking for a fabricator/general shop help, call or PM for info.

I have a lot of drill pits and they do dull over time, I need to invest in a drill doctor.. Ive heard lots of good things on the outcome while using the drill doctor.

With stainless - you MUST follow good practice, or you will ruin drill bits in NO time at all. Once the part has work hardened, you will pull your hair out trying to make a hole in the part. (this happens from overspeeding the drill bit, and not applying enough pressure)

I would HIGHLY recommend looking for cobalt drills, not standard HSS or coated ones.

I have had great luck with my snapon bits. a little more expensive but have lasted over 20 years now.. they were my dads when he was a tech in the early 90's..
