  • 2011 Adapter Brackets For Fox Body Seats?

Bought some 2011 Mustang seats for the 88', looking for someone to fab up some adapter brackets.
All I've come across is brackets for 94-04 and they want $260 for them and IMO not real clean brackets.
Here they are, I would think someone with half way decent fab skills could come up with something a little cleaner, maybe even a one piece design.
Once a jig is made they could be made fairly easy and quick I would think.
If someone wants to work something out please let me know. Or if someone know of another person who makes these.

    Thanks

$260 for some strip steel and spray paint? I hope you end up making your own.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

No kidding, not sure how safe I'd feel with those brackets anyways. I like to know I am bolted to the floor better then that.

Yeah, that was my thoughts also. I would love to make some, but have no welder or fab skills, just idea's.

I looked at a pair to put in my 69. They aren't like fox or Sn seats, the brakets in the new mustangs are made into the seat frames.

I know there's more than a handful of guys on this forum with more than enough skill to make a set 100x better than these.
I have the car, old seats, and new seats for someone who wants to help.

Pretty sure it's the same guy, he give's the ebay store and oemcarandtruckseats.com websites that sell the same brackets.
We have for sale a complete line of New and Used Seats from Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Cadillac, GMC, Ram, Jeep & more. We specialize in OEM Seats & Consoles for your Car, Truck, SUV or Van. We offer Custom Seat Builds & Fabrication for Cars & Trucks. Informative DIY Guides for Console / Seat Swaps & more.

You do know that 88 has the same seat bolt pattern as a 94-04.

Kind of, but wasn't 100% sure. But also would like them better built and cleaner. Don't know if you were implying that these would work or not?
Also like kbscobravert it's $260 for strip steel and spray paint.
And like dville_gt, paraphrasing here, they don't look to safe or reliable.

What about just drilling holes through the floors and using big fender washers...

I really think that is a better/safer idea than what that kit is. I can do better than some of those welds with my Chicago welder.

Not enough material in the floor pan.

I would weld a brace under the floor pan to bolt the seat to. That would be the easiest/safest way.

People must be really lazy to pay that much for those brackets. They look like crap and have maybe one hour of fab and $20 of material max.

Well I would like clean and sturdy brackets, not really looking for the easiest way. Def. don't want hack stuff or something that's looks like it was "made" to fit.

Haha, yeah that's what it looks like to me as well. I don't mind paying for brackets, but not for the one's that are being sold.

Not asking for a freebie, don't want to come across as such. I don't have a problem paying for fab work.
