It went 10.83 @129 on the track tune. I paid $2700 for the kit, plus fuel system, ignition, built tranny, built rearend, etc. It adds up quickly! Stock shortblock with edelbrock performers and stock cam w 1.7's.
Thanks! I PM'd you, too. Where did the kit come from?
Stock block right? If it pops are you throwing in another stock block? fbodyjohnny needs to see this thread. edit: see where you already mentioned stock block
Is it daily drivable? AC?
Soon i'll be in a cash car and wouldn't mind something simple like this to drive around.
It had ac but I ruptured one of the lines that runs down low by the passenger frame rail. Being a convertible, I either drive it in the winter with the top up and the heat blasting or in the summer with the top down. There have been folks that had a custom line made that routes it through the fender well and away from the heat and have been successful running the ac. I drive it once or twice a week.
I'd probably just throw in another stock shortblock if it popped.

Thanks for the info! I think it's neat you're still running the stock cam too, definitely a sleeper.
Alright, i'm going to go browse corral now for clean stockish fox bodies!
Good numbers Doug! Real similar to my (old) setup - as far as the motor was concerned. I had a 306, box stock wedge heads, MPT70, Fcam.
The only difference, mine was in a coupe with a 'glide - 6.20@110.9
On 18psi it only put down 548HP - but largely due to the LOOSE converter. It was probably near 6,000 at the lights. 60'd in the 1.44 range, but still spun. Sold all the turbo stuff, sold the motor (it ran fine after 100 or so passes) and now have the "good" motor in it.

Tried that myself and the place I took it too cut out the orface (sp?) tube. I didn't know it was there. Ended up getting another stock line and wraping some heat tape around the ac line and jammed it in there.
