  • Help With Fuel System

    I have a 1992 5.0 with fuel system issues.

    1. No fuel pressure and no pump.
    2. I momentary have fire @ the green/yellow wire @ the fuel pump relay.
    3. No fire @ the inertial switch.

Is there a connector or other relay between the fuel pump relay and the
inertial switch that I am missing?

do you have a constant power to the relay? does the relay click when keyed?

sounds like the fp relay is getting a signal but the relay isnt supplying power to the inertia switch. test the outlet of th relay to the inertia switch see what you get

I have constant power to the orange/black and power to the green/yellow on the fuel pump relay (about 3 seconds when key is switched on). No power to inertial switch (brown/purple or green/yellow).

I have taken the cover off fp relay and can see it trip.

should be constant power to the pink/black and red with key on, the dark green/yellow should have power for prime at key on and constant while cranking. There are 2 bulk connectors that the G/Y pass through, connector 213 behind the passenger kick panel below the ecm, and connector 207 behind the drivers kick panel. Hope this helps

Not a problem, glad I could help and happy to see you got it going. Information is a powerful thing, and sometimes Alldata has good info.
