Be smart, replace the springs. Thats alot of work to do to see so little gains. But good luck with it.

What would be the difference power wise between a stage 1 or a stage two cam?

Minimal. Cam's aren't a popular swap in mod motors for the simple fact they are very expensive, alot of work to install and a very little power increase. $1000 bucks for 15-20hp isn't a very good deal in my opinion.

If I had a grand to spend on go fast parts, I'd save up a lil more for a blower.

Hmm. Alright. It's seems a blower would cost me $3000 or more though. What mods should I do in the meantime?

Maybe I'll go this route and piece it together. It would still probably end up at $2000+ , but its very do-able. If I work my brains out this summer, I could probably get it done. what do you guys think?

Pipes, Boost & Juice - $1500 96-04GT Supercharger kit how its done - Many many people have been asking me how I got my supercharger kit for less than $1500. Well, this is how its done.... All I really did was search through http://www.superchargersonline.com (http://www.superchargersonline.com/) and you can find...

Man, what are you trying to accomplish? You want 300 to the wheels on a dyno? You want to run 12.50's? You want to run 180mph? What are you trying to accomplish? You just want to bolt on some stuff and see how much power it will make or do you have a set goal you are trying to reach. Unorganized people always fail and spend 2x what they should have to make up for the dissapointment.

looking for the most hp possible on a relatively safe tune. Goal I guess is 400rw.

With or without boost? Without you'll need a 302 stroker, ported heads, etc. With boost you can just slap a blower on there and be done with it (safe tune should net 400, aggresive tune should be 450-500). If you only want 400 I would go with the tried and true Vortech and get a safe tune.

I'll probably buy a used SCT tuner first, because I can use that before I have everything. Then after my first paycheck I'll hunt for a vortech unit on ebay. Which Vortech hu is the cheapest/ will get me to 400rw?
